Trace of the star_2023
Description of the work
- Media Oil on canvas
- Location LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL MAIN TOWER 1F
The worry about the nature of existence is a big topic that penetrates the artist's work from the beginning to the present. The artist is silent about visible and invisible beings and exploring the process and trace of their creation and time.
"Stars Traces" seems to be sprinkled with various colors on a dark background. When viewed from a distance, it is also the appearance of a star shining. This work is about the journey of humans returning to earth and becoming a part of the universe and their traces, which have the same constituent elements of stars and humans.
In the recent work of Han Hee-won in the 2020s, the expression of thick texture through rough touch and strong Martier expression is emphasized. Along with these methodological changes, the area is expanding with the exploration of the nature of human existence and immersion in the narrative.
