Since the late 1980s, Kwangyoung Jeon's Aggregation series has been gaining
recognition in the art world, both in Korea and internationally, based on his unique and original materials and working methods. The round, oval, black hemispheres and whirlwind-like images in his works are the product of his artistic desire to create strong tension and dramatic movement on the canvas, but they are also metaphors with multiple meanings. Inspired by objects that create visual tension, the artist translates them into his own sculptural language.

About the author

Inspired by the landscapes of hanji, which are infused with herbal medicines that she often encountered in her childhood, KWANG YOUNG CHUN began to attract
international attention with her series "Set," in which she folded old books, dyed them in various colors, and arranged them on canvases. The world has been enthusiastic about the way he expresses tradition, the accumulation of time, condensed history and human history collectively on the screen, and in 2017, he was invited by the Boghossian Foundation, an international cultural patronage organization that organized the 'Monochromatic Painting' exhibition at the 2015 Venice Biennale, to hold a solo exhibition at Villa Empain in Brussels, Belgium, and in 2019, he was invited to hold a solo exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum, one of the five major art museums in New York.
