Description of the work

  • Location LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL MAIN TOWER 1F
SHIM has been exploring the theme of water in his work. Through the concept of borrowed scenery, borrowed from the coastal landscape of his hometown of Tongyeong, he has established his own painting world, expanding the spirit of 'half-sculpture' through water. Recently, he has expanded his work to painting, and his works, which are completed with repeated brushstrokes, evoke the image of the sea and express 'energy' on the screen in images such as waves rolling in continuously. The artist's intention is to express the temporality of the cycle of creation and destruction.
