The artist's art is rather modern and refers to the current situation in Burundi. It
shows the way young Burundians view their homeland. It also shows the kind
of despair that young Burundians can have at present, looking at themselves
unable to project themselves into their daily lives and their future, given the
environment that limits young Burundians. Nevertheless, it shows a light of hope
by focusing on the deep values of Burundians, such as kindness and hospitality.
The texture used in the artist's work is rather classical, but the artist's results,
from metal to cotton, various objects, or treated canvases, contain a desire to
express themselves and convey a message.

About the author
Justin Munezero is a writer who was born in Burundi in 1982 and graduated
from the Technical Secondary School of Art (ETSA) in 2007. The artist works on
all aspects of his life, including dough preparation, drummers in Burundi, saving
people in danger, visiting neighbors and Burundi, worrying about the future and
development of the country, and crafts.
