Gwangmyeong Traditional Market
Formed naturally in the early 1970s, Gwangmyeong Traditional Market is the 7th largest market in Korea. In 2013, it was selected as a “culture and tourism market” and has since been transforming into a smart traditional market by hosting various cultural programs and integrating information and communication technologies. Today, it has become one of the country's best-known traditional markets with about 500 shops. Furthermore, as the surrounding area grew to include fashion districts, furniture stores, food alleys, financial institutions, and hospitals, it has evolved into an all-in-one location for daily living. ※ Image source: Gwangmyeong City Hall
