Thus, within this confined rectangular space, the artist inscribes their own aesthetic vision and identity through prolonged observation, experience, and countless brushstrokes. The images unfolded on the canvas are not mere representations, but the results of the artist's practice of engaging with life, dialoguing with the world, and contemplating existence.
Yoo Juhee places value in the belief that accidental effects emerging from unconscious gestures possess vitality in themselves and already exist as pictorial language.

About the author
She particularly favors Anthraquinone Blue. This deep, transparent blue expresses hope and luminosity when applied thinly, yet reveals a world of profound contemplation when layered repeatedly, holding special significance for the artist.
Her works, including the series, are not merely classified as abstract paintings but rather results of translating natural landscapes—such as water ripples, skies, and forests—into abstract language. The marks left by the squeegee fill the canvas rhythmically like staccato notes, and the repetitive, labor-intensive process resonates with a meditative attitude.
Yoo Juhee's paintings are a continuous exploration of the relationships between nature and humanity, existence and landscape, offering viewers a healing and contemplative experience.
