The word, Clear from the title "Clear Lines in Abstraction", implies two meanings, "bright' and 'delete’. Jun Young Jin’s work testifies to this aspect of holding both meanings. Stacking acrylic layers up on a huge canvas, drawing one layer erases another existing one.
At last, color planes piled up through infinitely repetitive "Fill" and "Delete" have the vague boundary each other and tinge a picture brightness.

About the Artist
Yeongjin Jeon is an artist who graduated from the Department of Fine Arts and the Department of Painting at Hongik University, and further pursued her studies at the same institution's graduate school. Particularly, Jeon emphasizes 'painting for the painting' and the importance of visuality in art.
The rhombus shapes that emerge from the overlapping of countless layers are the result of patience. These rhombuses take on an ambiguous role, making it unclear whether they are the background or the central figure of the canvas. Following the spirit of modernist painting, Jeon seeks the essence of painting in 'flatness' and engages in continuous experimentation.
Since 2007, she has held various solo and group exhibitions, and her works are part of collections in numerous corporations.
