Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak has an altitude of 180m. It rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 5,000 years ago. While it used to be a volcanic island, it became connected to land as sand and gravel accumulated between the coast of the island and Sinyang Beach. Located on the eastern end of Jejudo Island, there is a huge crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. The crater is about 600m in diameter and 90m in depth.
